VisitSimpson Estate Owes Over $100M, Executor Reverses Payment Block to Goldman
Apr 17, 2024, 11:45 AM
The executor of O.J. Simpson's estate, who is also his longtime attorney, has reversed an earlier statement indicating that he would block any claims for settlement money from the Goldman family. This decision follows a controversial initial claim that the Goldman family would receive 'nothing' from Simpson's estate. Fred Goldman's claim will now be accepted, aligning with the $33.5 million civil judgment awarded to the families of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman in 1997. Despite Simpson's death from cancer, he still owed more than $100 million to the Goldman family as part of a wrongful death judgment. The executor walked back his previous statement under significant public scrutiny.
