VisitSidney Crosby Scores 600th NHL Goal Against Utah Hockey Club, Joins Ovechkin at Milestone
Nov 24, 2024, 01:16 AM
Sidney Crosby, captain of the Pittsburgh Penguins, scored his 600th career NHL goal on Saturday, becoming the 21st player in league history to reach the milestone. The goal against the Utah Hockey Club was his first against that team and brought the Penguins within a 2-1 scoreline. Crosby joins Washington Capitals' Alex Ovechkin, who reached 600 goals in 2018, as the only active players to have achieved this feat. He is also the second player in Penguins history to reach 600 goals with the franchise, alongside Mario Lemieux. Only eight players in NHL history have surpassed 700 goals.
