VisitShip Owner to Pay $101.98 Million for Collapse of Baltimore's Key Bridge That Killed Six
Oct 24, 2024, 09:52 PM
The U.S. Department of Justice announced Thursday a $101,980,000 settlement with Singapore-based Grace Ocean Private Ltd. and Synergy Marine Group, the owner and operator of the cargo ship DALI that caused the collapse of Baltimore's Francis Scott Key Bridge, also known as the Key Bridge, in March, resulting in six deaths. The settlement resolves the federal government's civil lawsuit seeking reimbursement for cleanup costs and restoring access to the Port of Baltimore. The payment will not cover the cost of rebuilding the bridge.
