The Shin Bet, Israel's domestic security agency, has successfully thwarted an assassination attempt by Hezbollah targeting a former senior Israeli security official. The plot, which involved the use of a Climagor type C-4 explosive device equipped with a remote detonation system, camera, and cellular connection, was intended to be carried out in the coming days. The device was to be activated from Lebanon. This cell was previously responsible for a bombing attempt in Tel Aviv. The former official, whose identity has not been disclosed, was notified of the incident.
