Following a 10 AM EST vote, Senator Cynthia Lummis has been appointed as the Chair of the Senate Banking Subcommittee on Digital Assets. In her new role, she aims to advance bipartisan legislation to establish a comprehensive legal framework for digital assets in the United States, including stablecoins and a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve to strengthen the dollar. Lummis, a well-known Bitcoin supporter, stated, "Digital assets are the future, and if the United States wants to remain a global leader in financial innovation, Congress needs to urgently pass bipartisan legislation."
