Senator Rand Paul's proposal to raise the Social Security retirement age to 70 was overwhelmingly rejected in the Senate, with a vote tally of 3 in favor and 93 against. The amendment aimed to adjust the normal and early retirement ages for Social Security benefits, as well as increase the maximum age for delayed retirement credits. Only three senators supported the amendment: Rand Paul, Mike Lee, and Cynthia Lummis, while 93 senators voted against it, and four senators did not vote.
