The Senate report described the failures as 'foreseeable' and 'preventable,' noting that these lapses directly contributed to the attempt on Trump's life. Specific issues included communication breakdowns, inadequate planning, and the inexperience of some agents. One inexperienced agent reportedly had to call a toll-free number for help while flying a drone. Additionally, the lead Secret Service agent at the rally was aware of credible intelligence regarding the threat but failed to raise the alarm.
