The report accuses Amazon of prioritizing productivity over worker safety, rejecting changes recommended by internal studies like Project Soteria and Project Elderwand, which linked high workload and strict goals to increased injury risks. Despite this, Amazon has disputed the findings, claiming the report is based on outdated information and lacks context. Amidst this scrutiny, Amazon workers in New York have authorized a strike, demanding better wages, benefits, and working conditions, with the strike set to occur during the peak holiday season.
