Security Guard, 37, Found Guilty at Chelmsford Crown Court of Plotting to Kidnap, Rape and Murder Holly Willoughby

Gavin Plumb, a 37-year-old security guard, has been found guilty at Chelmsford Crown Court of plotting to kidnap, rape, and murder TV presenter Holly Willoughby. The court heard that Plumb went to great lengths to suggest his plans were not mere fantasy and that he gained sexual arousal from these plans. Despite his lawyer's argument that he was too overweight to carry out the plan, the jury found him guilty. Plumb had denied the charges against him. The verdict was reached after the jury deliberated on the evidence presented, including Plumb's own words and the arguments from both prosecution and defense barristers. Plumb will be sentenced next week.
