VisitSEC Approves First 24-Hour US Stock Exchange, 24 Exchange for 23-Hour Trading, Not 24/7 Vision
Nov 28, 2024, 01:30 AM
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has granted approval to 24 Exchange for a phased launch of its trading platform, allowing operations for 23 hours a day on weekdays. This approval marks a significant development in the trading landscape, as it is the first exchange to receive such authorization. However, the approval does not include the original vision of nonstop trading 24/7/365, which the startup had aimed for. The 24X National Exchange will initiate this extended trading schedule, although it remains subject to changes in Equity Data Plans.
