Seahawks Hire 37-Year-Old Klint Kubiak, Former Saints OC, as New Offensive Coordinator
Jan 26, 2025, 11:48 PM
The Seattle Seahawks have hired 37-year-old Klint Kubiak as their new offensive coordinator, the team announced on Sunday. Kubiak, who previously served as the offensive coordinator for the New Orleans Saints, was selected after an extensive search led by head coach Mike Macdonald. This marks Kubiak's third offensive coordinator role in the NFL, having also worked with the Minnesota Vikings and the Saints. The hiring comes after the Seahawks parted ways with former offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb following the 2024 season. Macdonald has expressed a desire for the offense to be more physical and effective, particularly in the running game, which ranked 28th in the league last season. Kubiak, the son of former NFL head coach Gary Kubiak, faced challenges in New Orleans with nine different linemen and three different quarterbacks starting over the course of the season, yet managed to lead the team to score 91 points in their first two games.
