VisitSeahawks Defeat Broncos 26-20 in Season Opener; Bo Nix's Debut
Sep 8, 2024, 11:14 PM
The Seattle Seahawks secured their first win of the season with a 26-20 victory over the Denver Broncos at Lumen Field, donning their 90’s throwback uniforms. The game marked the professional debut of Broncos rookie quarterback Bo Nix, who had a mixed performance. Nix threw two interceptions, including one by Tariq Woolen, and completed only two of twelve passes over ten air yards. Despite this, he managed to score his first NFL touchdown on a four-yard run and another late touchdown that helped the Broncos cover the spread. Nix threw the ball 38 times and cut the Broncos' deficit to six points. Tyler Lockett played a crucial role for the Seahawks, making a significant third-down catch to seal the game. This win also marked the first victory for Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald.
