The final round was briefly interrupted by climate activists from Extinction Rebellion, who stormed the 18th green, set off smoke bombs, and sprayed a powdery substance. The protesters were quickly detained, and play resumed. Scheffler, who is currently the world No. 1, has now won six times in ten starts this season, earning $27.6 million. This victory also marked his 12th PGA Tour title, winning with a par-4 on the first playoff hole.
