Scottie Scheffler claimed his fifth PGA Tour victory of the season with a one-shot win at the Memorial Tournament, earning $4 million. This victory, his first beyond April, came after a final-round tussle with Collin Morikawa. Scheffler's win at the Memorial adds to his impressive season, which includes victories at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, THE PLAYERS Championship, The Masters, and the RBC Heritage. With this win, Scheffler has set a new single-season PGA Tour earnings record for the third consecutive year, amassing $24 million so far in 2024. Notably, he is the first player to achieve five victories in a single season since Justin Thomas in 2017. He shared a handshake with Jack Nicklaus on the 18th hole.
