Schumer emphasized that the Founders intended for no man in America to be above the law, criticizing the Supreme Court's decision as dangerous and a departure from centuries of legal precedent. The No Kings Act would also remove the Supreme Court's jurisdiction to hear appeals related to presidential immunity, reaffirming that Congress has the authority to decide on such matters. Schumer noted that Trump celebrated the ruling and introduced the bill with 33 colleagues, referring to the court as the 'MAGA Supreme Court.'
