Saudi Arabia to Host Inaugural Olympic Esports Games in 2025 with $60 Million Prize

Saudi Arabia is set to host the world's first ever Esports World Cup in Riyadh, featuring over 1,500 gamers competing for a record prize pool of $60 million. In addition, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has awarded Saudi Arabia the hosting rights for the inaugural Olympic Esports Games in 2025, as part of a 12-year deal. This partnership with the National Olympic Committee of Saudi Arabia marks the first commercial deal between the IOC and the Kingdom. The Olympic Esports Games will be held regularly, further solidifying Saudi Arabia's commitment to becoming a global hub for esports. The Esports World Cup is also championed by FIFA.
