The attack involved unknown assailants spraying bullets at the truck he was traveling in on a California highway. This incident is linked to ongoing rivalries between factions supporting the Khalistan movement, including the Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) and other Khalistani groups. Satinder Pal Singh Raju is a close associate of Hardeep Singh Nijjar. The FBI is currently investigating the drive-by shooting.
