Sarah McBride Sworn In as First Openly Transgender Congress Member, Vows to Be 'Best'

Sarah McBride was sworn in as the first openly transgender member of the U.S. Congress during the 119th Congress. Representing Delaware, McBride emphasized her commitment to being the best member of Congress she can be, stating, "The only way that I can guarantee that while I may be a 'first', I'm not the last, is to quite simply be the best member of Congress that I can be."
