Saquon Barkley Sets NFL Record with 62-Yard TD Run, Eagles Lead Rams 13-7
Jan 19, 2025, 08:40 PM
Saquon Barkley broke free for a 62-yard touchdown run during the first quarter of the game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Los Angeles Rams. The touchdown, which came as snow began to fall at Lincoln Financial Field, gave the Eagles a 13-7 lead with 1:07 remaining in the quarter. This was Barkley's third touchdown run of 60 or more yards against the Rams this season, following previous scores of 70 and 72 yards in their November meeting. With his fifth rushing touchdown of 60-plus yards this season, Barkley surpassed Jim Brown and Adrian Peterson to set a new NFL record. The play was set up by a key block from right guard Mekhi Becton, allowing Barkley to sprint past the Rams' defense.
