VisitSan Jacinto Wildfire Grows to 650 Acres, 6 Firefighters Hospitalized

A significant wildfire, referred to as the #RecordFire, has erupted in San Jacinto, California, expanding rapidly from over 100 acres to cover more than 650 acres. The fire, which was initially reported at 2:17 p.m. near Soboba Road and Gilman Springs Road, has necessitated a substantial response from firefighters, including multiple air and ground resources. Despite the fire's growth, no homes have been threatened, although evacuation warnings have been issued in the area. Six firefighters have been hospitalized due to the blaze. Efforts to contain the fire include the deployment of Cal Fire's new C-130 Air Tanker 122 and other air tankers, along with helicopters making strategic water drops.
