Oklo, a nuclear startup backed by Sam Altman, has entered into a non-binding Master Agreement with data center operator Switch to deploy 12 gigawatts (GW) of advanced nuclear power by 2044. This deal is being recognized as one of the largest corporate clean power agreements ever signed, aimed at meeting the increasing energy demands of the technology sector. The 12 GW capacity is estimated to cover the annual electricity usage of approximately 10 million U.S. households. The agreement reflects a strategic partnership designed to provide sustainable energy solutions amid the growing need for emissions-free power sources in the data center industry.
