Oklo Inc., a nuclear startup backed by Sam Altman, has finalized an agreement with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to advance to the next phase of siting for its microreactor project in Idaho. This agreement, which includes a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), allows Oklo to conduct site investigations at their preferred location in Idaho. The company plans to submit its application under the ADVANCE Act in 2025 and aims to have the microreactor operational by 2027. Oklo continues groundwork for the Aurora Powerhouse in Idaho. Oklo's stock rose by 5.7% following the announcement.
