Sainz Wins Mexican GP; Norris Second, Ferrari Overtakes Red Bull

Carlos Sainz won the 2024 Mexican Grand Prix, securing back-to-back victories for Ferrari and becoming the first Ferrari driver since Alain Prost in 1990 to win in Mexico. Lando Norris of McLaren finished second after setting the fastest lap and overtaking Charles Leclerc, who went off track but managed to avoid crashing, ultimately finishing third. Norris's second-place finish narrowed his gap to championship leader Max Verstappen to 47 points with four races remaining. Max Verstappen, after serving a 20-second penalty during a pit stop on Lap 28 of 71, finished sixth. The result allowed Ferrari to overtake Red Bull for second place in the Constructors' Championship.
