The deal includes $22 million in effectively fully guaranteed money and replaces a previous contract that included a non-guaranteed $25 million in 2025, which was considered unrealistic. The extension comes just days after Kamara, a 2017 third-round draft pick, denied rumors that he had requested a trade. The agreement suggests that Kamara is poised to potentially retire as a Saint. Additionally, the new deal reportedly saves the Saints approximately $18 million on the 2025 salary cap.
