VisitSaif Ali Khan Undergoes Surgery After Mumbai Home Invasion, Now Out of Danger
Jan 16, 2025, 09:15 AM
Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was seriously injured after being stabbed multiple times by an intruder at his Mumbai residence in the early hours of Thursday. The attack occurred around 2:30 a.m. when Khan confronted the intruder, believed to be a burglar, who had entered his 11th-floor apartment in Bandra. Khan sustained six stab wounds, including injuries to his spine, neck, and hand. He underwent emergency surgery at Lilavati Hospital, where doctors successfully removed a knife lodged in his spine and repaired leaking spinal fluid. Khan is now reported to be out of danger and on the path to recovery. The Mumbai Police have identified the suspect through CCTV footage and are actively searching for him, with the investigation suggesting the incident was an attempted robbery. Khan's son Ibrahim took him to the hospital in an auto-rickshaw as no cars were available. Seven police teams have been deployed to track down the accused, who reportedly used the building's fire escape to enter and escape. Khan's wife, actress Kareena Kapoor Khan, and their children were present during the incident but were unharmed. The police have registered a case and are reviewing security measures in the area.
