VisitSAG-AFTRA Calls Strike Against League of Legends, Accuses Formosa Interactive
Sep 24, 2024, 07:47 PM
SAG-AFTRA has called a strike against the popular online game League of Legends. The union accuses Formosa Interactive, LLC, a company involved in the game's production, of attempting to subvert the ongoing video game strike. This action comes after Formosa allegedly tried to cancel a struck project and hire replacement workers, which SAG-AFTRA claims is a violation of labor law. The union has filed an unfair labor practice charge with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB). League of Legends, developed by Riot Games, was previously exempt from the strike but has now been added to the list of titles affected by the union’s actions.
