Hariri emphasized the need for unity amid the escalating violence. Nasrallah, hailed as a hero, was a prominent figure in the resistance against oppression and played a significant role in the liberation of Lebanon from Israeli transgressions. Hariri's condemnation, made in an official statement, comes in the context of his own personal history, as his father, former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri, was killed in a 2005 bombing attributed to Hezbollah by a UN-backed tribunal. Nasrallah's companions were also mentioned in the condolences.
