The Russian state media holding company VGTRK has experienced an 'unprecedented' hacker attack that disrupted online broadcasting and internal services. Reports indicate that the attack wiped out many internal servers, including backups, and even affected internet and telephony services. Despite the severity of the attack, VGTRK announced that its TV channels and radio stations continue to operate normally. The recovery process is expected to be prolonged. VGTRK Bureau chief described the situation as 'information warfare against Russian press.'
