Nov 24, 2024, 08:38 PM
A Russian-made Sukhoi Superjet 100-95LR passenger plane, flight A45051 operated by Azimuth Airlines, caught fire upon landing at Antalya Airport in Turkey after arriving from Sochi. The fire reportedly started in the left engine of the aircraft at approximately 21:34 Moscow time. All 79 passengers and six crew members were safely evacuated, with no injuries reported, according to the deputy governor of Antalya. The fire was extinguished by airport fire services within two minutes. The airport temporarily suspended landings following the incident, and the aircraft remains on the runway. Authorities are investigating the cause, which may be due to sudden changes in wind speed and direction.
