Russian Intelligence Claims West Plans to Replace Zelensky by 2025

The Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) claims that the West is preparing to replace Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. According to the SVR, the former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, is considered the most suitable candidate to succeed Zelensky. Russian President Vladimir Putin echoed these claims, stating that the West plans to replace Zelensky by 2025. Putin also mentioned that negotiations with Moscow would not happen if Kyiv links them to the withdrawal of Russian troops. The SVR also stated that Washington views Zaluzhnyi as the best replacement for Zelensky.
