VisitRussian Flight A45051 Catches Fire on Landing in Antalya; 79 Evacuated, Landings Suspended

A Russian Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft, flight A45051, operated by Azimuth Airlines, caught fire upon landing on runway 36R at Antalya Airport in Turkey. The aircraft, which had arrived from Sochi, Russia, experienced an engine fire that was quickly extinguished by Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting teams. All 79 passengers were evacuated safely with no injuries reported. The incident prompted the temporary closure of the runway and the suspension of landings at the airport, as announced by the Turkish Ministry of Transport. Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
