Russia launched a large-scale missile and drone attack on Kyiv, Ukraine, causing significant damage. The assault, which began early in the morning, targeted multiple locations in Kyiv and lasted over eight hours. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the attacks, calling for increased pressure on Russia. The Kyiv region suffered damage to eight private houses, an apartment in a multi-story building, and a power line, leaving 1,860 residents without electricity. Additionally, buildings at the Taras Shevchenko National University, including the Institute of Journalism and the Institute of International Relations, were damaged by debris from the drones. The attack also affected other cities such as Kharkiv and Sumy. As of 12:00, four additional UAVs were reported in Ukrainian airspace. The attack involved Shahed drones.
