Russia and Ukraine have conducted another prisoner exchange on July 17, with each side releasing 95 prisoners of war. The exchange, facilitated by the United Arab Emirates, marks the sixth such swap mediated by the Gulf state this year. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the release, highlighting that the freed Ukrainian prisoners include soldiers from the Armed Forces, the National Guard, and border guards. This exchange brings the total number of prisoners swapped between the two countries to nearly 1,400 this year.
