Russia has launched its third ballistic missile attack on Kyiv this month, according to Ukrainian officials. The attack occurred overnight on August 18, 2024, and involved two waves of missiles. Initially, North Korean KN-23 missiles were launched, which were intercepted by Ukraine's air defenses before reaching the city. Later, Iskander cruise missiles were fired, but these too were successfully shot down. This marks the fifth attack involving North Korean KN-23 ballistic missiles over the last half month. Preliminary data from the Ukrainian military administration indicates that all the missiles were destroyed before they could cause any damage.
