VisitRussia Launches Massive Drone Attack on Ukraine; One Dead, Nearly 40 Injured
Nov 10, 2024, 06:18 AM
Russia launched a massive drone attack on several Ukrainian regions overnight, deploying 51 Shahed drones, of which 50 were intercepted by Ukrainian air defenses. The strikes targeted cities including Odesa, Kyiv, and Kharkiv, involving drones equipped with thermobaric warheads that caused significant damage to residential and commercial buildings. In Odesa, at least one person was killed and nearly 40 others were injured, including two children, as drones struck a residential complex and sparked fires that destroyed cars and property. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported that Russia has used more than 800 guided aerial bombs, around 600 attack drones, and nearly 20 missiles against Ukraine this week alone. The attacks mark an escalation in Russia's aerial campaign that intensified two months ago, with Ukrainian air defense forces working tirelessly to protect the nation's skies.
