Jul 27, 2024, 02:21 PM
Russia stated on Friday that it launched 33 large-scale strikes against Ukrainian targets and shot down one Ukrainian military helicopter in the past week. Ukrainian Defense Intelligence confirmed the destruction of three Russian military helicopters in Russia, specifically a Mi-28 and a Ka-226 on July 21, and a Mi-8 on July 24. Additionally, a Tu-134 was targeted. The Mi-8 was burned down at the airfield Kryaz in Samara. The helicopters were struck in Moscow and Samara regions. Ukrainian sources indicate that these operations were part of sabotage missions, and Russian authorities are reportedly attempting to cover up these losses.
