VisitRussia and Iran to Sign Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement Post-BRICS Summit During Pezeshkian's Visit
Oct 18, 2024, 10:43 AM
Russia and Iran are set to sign a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement following the BRICS summit. The agreement, which was initially planned to be signed during the summit in Kazan, will now be finalized during a separate visit by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian to Moscow. This development follows Russian President Vladimir Putin's approval in September of the Foreign Ministry's proposal to sign the agreement. The Iranian ambassador to Russia highlighted the importance of BRICS in expanding mutual trade and influencing international affairs. In his address to the BRICS Business Forum, President Pezeshkian emphasized the role of BRICS in creating effective economic procedures and its positive impact on Iranian companies.
