VisitRussia Investigates Australian and Romanian Journalists for Illegal Border Crossing in Kursk Region
Sep 27, 2024, 07:11 AM
Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) has opened criminal cases against three foreign journalists for illegal border crossing. The journalists involved are Australian ABC correspondents Fletcher Young and Catherine Diss, and Romanian journalist Mircea Parbu. They reportedly entered the Kursk region, which is currently occupied by Ukrainian forces, to report on the situation. Despite being identified as U.S. citizens by the FSB, the charged ABC reporters are Australian nationals. Since August 17, criminal cases have been opened against 12 foreign journalists.
