Runway Launches $5M Fund to Support 100 AI-Powered Films

Runway, a generative AI company, has announced The Hundred Film Fund, a new initiative to support filmmakers using AI in their projects. The fund will provide grants ranging from $5,000 to $1 million, with a total of $5 million earmarked to finance up to 100 short films and feature-length movies. This initiative follows a recently inked, first-of-its-kind deal between Runway and Lionsgate, marking a significant investment in the AI-powered film industry. Notably, Runway will not claim rights to the creations funded by these grants.
