VisitRochester Hills Jewelry Store Owner Murdered by Suspects Posing as DTE Energy Workers
Oct 12, 2024, 07:30 PM
Authorities in Michigan are searching for two suspects posing as DTE Energy workers who killed a 72-year-old jewelry store owner, identified as Hussein Murray, in his Rochester Hills home. The suspects, described as a heavy-set Hispanic man and a thin Black man, gained entry to the residence by impersonating utility workers. After murdering the homeowner in the basement, they duct-taped his wife and searched the home for approximately 20 minutes. Doorbell video footage captured the suspects approaching the house just hours before the incident. DTE Energy has issued a warning to customers about impersonators and advises reporting any suspicious activity to law enforcement.
