RobotEra, a Chinese robotics company, has successfully completed long-distance running tests with its Star1 humanoid robot in the Gobi Desert's Hexi Corridor. The Star1 robot, wearing sneakers, reached a top speed of 3.6 meters per second (approximately 8 mph), breaking the world record for humanoid robots. This speed is equivalent to a running pace of 438. The robot demonstrated its ability to run on various terrains, including roads, grass, gravel, and mountainous areas, showcasing versatility similar to orienteering.
