Rheinmetall Receives First Order to Build Ammunition Plant in Ukraine for Several Hundred Million Euros

The German defense company Rheinmetall has received its first order from Ukraine to construct an ammunition production plant. The project, awarded by the Ukrainian government, is set to begin in the short term and is expected to be completed within 24 months. The construction, which will cost several hundred million euros, includes providing all necessary technical equipment. This development comes after more than two years of discussions about establishing a German weapons industry presence in Ukraine. The project will span several years.
