Marsaw's post, which has since been deleted, suggested that the shooter should have taken shooting lessons to avoid missing. Thompson, who recently proposed legislation to remove Trump's Secret Service detail, stated on July 14, 'I was made aware of a post made by a staff member and she is no longer in my employment.' Marsaw is also a leader of a local NAACP chapter. The post has drawn significant criticism and backlash, particularly from Mississippi Republicans.
