VisitRed Bull's Max Verstappen Ordered to Complete Public Work for Swearing at Singapore GP
Sep 20, 2024, 11:29 AM
Max Verstappen, the Red Bull driver, has been summoned by the FIA stewards for using foul language during a press conference at the Singapore Grand Prix. The incident occurred during Thursday’s driver press conference, where Verstappen used inappropriate language, reportedly saying 'the car was f***ed.' As a result, the FIA has ordered Verstappen to accomplish some work of public interest, effectively a form of community service. Verstappen defended his language by stating that the word is ordinary in speech as he learned it, given that English is not his native language. He has since apologized for the incident.
