Nov 1, 2024, 05:18 AM
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) in British Columbia have dismantled the largest, most sophisticated drug superlab in Canadian history, operating in Vancouver. The operation led to the arrest of Gaganpreet Singh Randhawa, identified as the main suspect. Authorities seized 54 kg of fentanyl, 390 kg of methamphetamine, 35 kg of cocaine, massive amounts of precursor chemicals totaling 2 tonnes, and a record number of illegal firearms, including 100 firearms. The seized fentanyl and precursors could amount to over 95.5 million potentially lethal doses. The lab was producing P2P 'super-meth,' marking the first known instance of 'Mexican super-meth' production in Canada. The facility is linked to transnational organized crime.
