VisitRAW Officer Vikram Yadav Allegedly Directed U.S. Assassination of Sikh Activist Pannun
Apr 29, 2024, 12:03 PM
Recent investigations by the Washington Post, corroborated by US and Indian sources, have revealed an alleged assassination plot orchestrated by India's Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) on American soil. The plot targeted Sikh separatist Gurpatwant Pannun and was reportedly directed by RAW officer Vikram Yadav, under orders from intelligence chief Samant Goel. This operation coincided with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's state visit to the U.S., raising concerns about India's covert operations abroad. The CIA has assessed that National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and possibly PM Modi were aware of the operations, which also extended to Canada, targeting vocal critics of the Modi administration within the Sikh diaspora. India has been stalling the probe into these allegations.
