VisitRapper Lil Durk Indicted in Los Angeles Murder-for-Hire Plot, Faces Life in Prison
Nov 8, 2024, 06:49 PM
Grammy Award-winning Chicago rapper Lil Durk, 32, has been indicted on new federal charges in connection with an alleged murder-for-hire plot targeting a rival rapper's associate. The superseding indictment adds two felony charges against Lil Durk, including one count of conspiracy and one count of use of interstate facilities to commit murder-for-hire resulting in death. He is also charged with one count of using, carrying, and discharging firearms and a machine gun, and possession of such firearms in furtherance of a crime. Prosecutors allege that Lil Durk used coded language in his song lyrics to initiate the August 2022 shooting outside the Beverly Center shopping mall in Los Angeles, where Saviay’a Robinson, cousin of rapper Quando Rondo, was killed. Lil Durk has reportedly been transported from Broward County Jail to federal custody in California. If convicted, he faces life in federal prison.
