VisitRapidly Spreading 250-Acre Airport Fire in Trabuco Canyon Prompts Evacuations

A rapidly spreading wildfire, known as the Airport Fire, has broken out in Trabuco Canyon, Orange County. The fire, which started near the remote-controlled airplane airport, has grown from 7 acres to over 250 acres with a rapid rate of spread. The Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) and Cleveland National Forest fire crews are on the scene, utilizing multiple tankers and helicopters, including OCFA Copter 3, to combat the blaze. Voluntary evacuation warnings have been issued for Rose Canyon Road, Trabuco Creek Road, Trabuco Canyon Road, Trabuco Oaks Drive, Joplin Loop, and Cook's Corner. Residents are advised to avoid the area to allow firefighters to work safely.
