VisitRanger Suárez Hits 32.2-Inning Scoreless Streak, Third-Longest in Phillies History
Apr 28, 2024, 02:13 AM
Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Ranger Suárez has achieved a significant milestone by extending his scoreless innings streak to 32.2, placing him among an elite group of seven Phillies pitchers who have reached a 30.0 inning scoreless streak. This group includes notable Hall of Famers and past Phillies pitchers such as Grover Cleveland Alexander, Steve Carlton, Robin Roberts, Larry Andersen, and Ken Heintzelman. Suárez's streak is now the third-longest in Phillies history, trailing only Grover Alexander's 41.0 innings in 1911 and Cliff Lee's 34.0 innings in 2011. He is also halfway to Orel Hershiser’s record scoreless inning streak of 59.
