The 2024 rain-delayed Indy 500, broadcasted on NBC and Peacock, garnered an average of 5.344 million viewers, marking an 8% increase from last year's 4.93 million viewers and a 10% rise from 2022's 4.837 million viewers. The audience peaked at 6.46 million during the closing laps of the race. Additionally, the event became the most-streamed INDYCAR race ever, with an average minute audience (AMA) of 286,000 viewers across Peacock and NBC Sports digital platforms. The race was also the most-watched Indy 500 in three years. IndyCar executives are expected to decide between NBC and Fox for the series’ next TV deal.
